Finding An Exercise Program That Works For You

The number one exercise program that works best for you and I is the one that we can consistently follow through on.

An Important Question To Ask Yourself Is:
(1) WHAT DO I ACTUALLY HAVE TIME FOR AND FIND ENJOYABLE DURING THE TIME I HAVE?

After Deciding How Much Time You Have Ask Yourself:
(2) WHAT IS MY PRIMARY INTENTION FOR EXERCISING?

IS IT?

Becoming More Flexible

Creating Time For Yourself While Connecting With Nature

De-stressing

 Generating Peace Of Mind

Building Muscle

Active Meditation

Losing Weight

Gaining Weight

Belonging To A Community

Having a clear intention can help you stay motivated and create momentum for building a long lasting, healthy practice. 

And let’s face it, for most of us, there will be days when we bump up against our resistance – no matter if we have a clear intention or not. 

On those ever so lovely days when resistance gives you the big shout out and the ultimate slap down… put the below 2 questions and 4 proactive ideas in place for a quick turnaround.

(1)  What support systems can you have on hand in challenging moments?

(2) How can you stay focused and not give in to a self sabotaging behavior?

HOW ABOUT?

A handy list of alternative exercises

A check in to see if you’re hungry, angry, lonely, tired

Accountability from a friend, coach, loved one

A dialogue session with your resistance so you can get clarity on what’s happening below the surface and connect with your inner guidance system 

If you do happen to miss a workout it’s okay. The best thing to do is get back on track the next day but most important is to not beat yourself up. Embrace your resistance and give yourself permission to be human

Exercise doesn’t need to be complicated or restrictive. Create a program that aligns with your intention, and as long as you find your program enjoyable and it achieves greater health and vitality in your life, you have my full support and thumbs up!
