Talk Yourself In And Out Of Stress

Stress has many different ways of rooting itself inside your mind. One of the most powerful ways it sneaks up on you and reveals itself is in the way you talk to yourself.

Self-Talk is the thoughts that pop into your head, and the things you say to yourself in relation to your thoughts – whether you are aware of them or not. 

What you say to yourself plays a tremendous role in how you experience a situation and the choices you make in response to that situation.

Your Self-Talk tells you where to put your attention. For instance, if your Self-Talk is negative then you will notice cues in your environment that reinforce that negativity. In contrast, if your Self-Talk is positive, then you are more likely to notice cues in your environment that reinforce positivity.

Negative-Self Talk works by clinging to a negative thought and drives the negativity into your body, which generates even more negative thoughts and Self-Talk. This rough rhythm creates a burdensome block that dramatically reduces your personal power and the way your mind and body interconnect and handle stress.

When you experience NEGATIVE SELF-TALK it can be much easier to focus on what’s not working.

When Your Mind Is In A PLACE Of NEGATIVITY:

Your resources seem to dry up

You feel like a stranger in your own life

Your creativity bails on its pizzazz

You lose your sense of gratitude and appreciation

You feel constricted, fragmented, drained

Your options seem fewer or in some cases non-existent

You probably want to get yourself out of certain situations “Pronto” because it’s uncomfortable or distressing

When You Start Something New Or Need A Breakthrough From An Old Behavior, Have You Ever Heard A Negative Voice “Whispering Sweet Little Nothings”In Your Ear?

If You and I do not align ourselves with what we value most we become vulnerable to distractions and disconnection. We can get caught up in a negativity loop – funneling a myriad of negative thoughts over and over again. We lose sight of seeing progressive potentiality, discovering hope, connecting to our heart wisdom, and simply being with the present moment.

Basically We Are Hypnotizing Ourselves With Our Own Negative Energy And The Negative Energy We Have Accumulated From The Collective…      

CREATING SPIRALS OF:

• Frustration

• Numbing

• Suffering

• Procrastination

• Autopilot Passivity

• FLIGHT – FRIGHT – or FREEZE as a default mode of existence

What you tell yourself moment by moment adds up, and if you’re not aware of this build up in negativity, it holds you back from being a CONSCIOUS CREATOR on your own behalf.

When you experience POSITIVE SELF-TALK, it’s much harder to focus on the negatives in your environment.

When Your Mind Is In A PLACE OF POSITIVITY:

Your resources seem to expand and become more obvious

You pay attention to what’s working and you have a sense of humor when things don’t go exactly as planned

Your options seem more plentiful and easier to grasp

You take inspired action on your desires and you ignite momentum to follow through

Your belief in yourself, others and the Universe accelerates

You feel a natural sense of connection, appreciation, curiosity and vitality

Your intuition becomes fine-tuned and you make clear decisions based on your needs and core values

Being in this emotional state feels Expansive, Joyful and On Fire!

EXAMPLE:

Positive Self-Talk makes you confidently walk into a new job, open to possibilities, trusting in your innate wisdom, and full of optimism.

Negative Self-Talk cuts off your spirit, suffocates your spontaneity, undermines confidence in your abilities, and sabotages your achievability for soul satisfying success at a new job.

This is how Self-Talk works, and it’s how Self-Talk influences your life. Furthermore, it’s how you can literally talk yourself into being stressed or talk yourself out of being stressed. Just by noticing the nature of your Self-Talk, you can change a stressful experience into one that is not stressful (and vice versa).
